TASTE OF MANILA: Food Caterers Asso. of the Phils ( FCAP)
FCAP's Taste of Manila
The Food Caterers Association of the Philippines will have its 5th Taste of Manila Exhibit at Megatrade Hall B, 5th level of SM Megamall in EDSA, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City on May 9-11.
This event will pay tribute to the mothers who are the family`s source of love and care. Generally, mothers labor in the kitchen from dawn till dusk to prepare the familys meal everyday, explains Danny Jacinto, overall chairman of the "Taste of Manila" event. "Mothers Day is one special day of the year when we can give her honor and express gratitude."
Pasta carbonara
Taste of Manila is a yearly event of F.C.A.P. where the top players of the catering industry come together to showcase and share their expertise in food catering, preparation and service, and table setting through a major exhibit, cooking demonstration, food sampling, and sale.
In the Expo, plated and packed, delicacies, desserts, and main dishes as well as salads and cocktail drinks will be demonstrated by participating members like Town's Delight The Caterer (046-4376055) Kusina ni Kambal, Batis Asul, Tamayos Catering, Juan Carlo,The Caterer, Aranicos,Al Navarro, Better Pan, C.B.G., Henrys, Hizons, Josiahs, Queensland, The Swan, Red Chef, V.S.&F. Rosales, Sydensam and more.
The caterers will share their best-kept secrets and signature recipes with mothers, would-be-mothers, and everyone who visits the show, Jacinto adds. There will also be an exhibit of table set-ups and floral designs, skirtings, chair dressings, fine china,glasswares, etc.
Penne pasta
The event will inspire and guide aspiring and new caterers and HRM students and instructors. It will also provide opportunities to waiters, interior and floral designers, restaurateurs, bakers, entrepreneurs, out-of-school youths with informations and ideas the caterers will share, says Michael Alex Del Rosario, FCAP President.
Admission to the Taste of Manila Food Expo is free. There will be raffles, give-aways and food samplings. To avail of full lunch or merienda offered by the participating caterers, food tickets are available as low as P 10. Surprise entertainers will also grace the show.
